A bit about me
I’m Georgie, a photographer and videographer with a background in sailing, skiing and a habit of taking my camera everywhere.
Sport has been a big part of my life for years, first as a competitor and now from behind the camera. I love capturing the moments that make sport what it is, from the action itself to the people and stories behind it.

Usually somewhere behind a camera
I’m happiest working out in the field, whether that’s on a boat, on a mountain or somewhere underwater. I’ve photographed sailing and skiing at international events, worked around horses and other sports, and taken cameras underwater to explore a different side of things.
Every environment comes with its own challenges, which is part of what keeps it interesting. I’m always looking for new ways to approach a shoot, try something different and come away with something worth sharing.

My background
I studied Ship Science and Yacht Design at the University of Southampton, having spent years sailing and racing myself. That technical background still comes in handy when I’m photographing boats, particularly when it comes to understanding the details of a design and the reasons behind it.
Alongside photography, I’ve also competed in telemark skiing with the GB team. Being involved in sport myself has shaped the way I work with a camera, helping me anticipate what’s happening and understand the moments that matter.

Photography and video
Through PhotoBoat, I work with individuals, teams, brands and businesses to create photography and video. This ranges from sporting events and action photography to marine projects, promotional content and short films.
It’s just me behind the camera, so you deal directly with the person planning the shoot, taking the photos and editing the final work. I like getting to know the people I work with and understanding what they need, rather than taking the same approach to every project.
If you’ve got something coming up, or an idea you’d like to talk through, feel free to get in touch. I’d be keen to hear about it.
